Markus Videsson

Markus has been a software developer for more than 20 years, working in fields such as the mobile industry, UI frameworks, development tools, product information management, and workforce management. Since starting at EC, Markus has been working in the inhouse team with image analysis, radar data, and Odoo (ERP). He enjoys working with data and calculations, and using his programming skills to solve complex problems. He thrives in a team environment where he uses his collaborative skills to leverage both himself and his team mates.

By creating an environment with controlled heat and humidity the quality of seeds can be determined with the help of cameras and image analysis. The purpose of the measurements is to help farmers determin how many seeds they should plant in order to get an optimal harvest. Markus was an essential part in the development of the image analysis.

With the help of a radar installed in a toilet and machine learning this device will keep track of when a person last defecated. The primary use for the device is to help the staff at dementia residents to know if their patients are constipated. Constipation can cause a lot of suffering and demented people typically don't remember when they last defecated. Markus investigated the radar data by running simulation sessions and making visual representations of the data.
