Annie Ydström

I was born and raised in Ängelholm where I went to high-school. In my final year I worked on a thesis in teaching mathematics where I tested a self made training base for the golden ratio on a group of 15 to 16 year-olds.

When I was eight years old I started training karate at ESKK (Engelholms Shoto-kan Karateklubb) and since then I have taken my blackbelt (summer of 2013) and started to work as an instructor for the club (since 2010).  I have also served on the board as deputy.

Projects & Employments

Current & previous projects

RF Test Systems Developer at Ericsson, Lund

Working with developing the automated test system for verification of radio ASICs for Ericssons 5G mobile base stations. The assignment covers developing test cases and automate the execution of these over several radio bands, temperatures and supply voltages, development of drivers for different instruments such as power supplies, signal generators, signal analyzers and similar. Other tasks include the maintenance of communication between our test system and the device under test, storing the collected test results in a structured way and then create a method for visualizing it.

Master thesis - door simulator at ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, Landskrona

ASSA ABLOY manufactures industrial doors which uses engines/motors to open the doors. The operators needs to meet certain requirements and therefore the engines/motors needs to be tested for different prerequisites such as different temperatures or insufficient power-supply. As it can be cumbersome to build an entire door for testing, simulating a door would be a good solution. The purpose of the master thesis project is to create a door simulator to be used for testing engines/motors.

Current & previous employments

Lund University, Lund

Employed as a lab supervisor at Biomedical engineering (BME) for a lab in the course: Mätteknik för E och D. The lab involved measuring the error on a multimeter caused by a disturbance frequency. LabView was used to control the multimeter and a frequency generator.

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, Lanskrona

Employed as a Jr. Test Engineer at Industrial Door Solutions. I developed code for their regression test-rigs in LabView and TestStand as well as assembling hardware for life-cycle-tests and new regression test-rigs. I also did coding for the life-cycle-test in Python.

Lund University, Lund

Employed as a lab supervisor at Biomedical engineering (BME) for a lab in the course: Mätteknik för E och D and Mätteknik för F. The lab involved measuring the error on a multimeter caused by a disturbance frequency. LabView was used to control the multimeter and a frequency generator.

ARM AB, Lund

Employed as an intern in the RF lab and verification department. My work consisted of helping to develop a system for automatic RF testing using Python and SCPI commands. Mostly this involved writing scripts for instrument control such as power-supplies and spectrum analyzers.
