Kemie Guaida

Kemie is an UX Designer with 25 years of experience turning user needs into practical, workable solutions. Her background spans legal tech, medtech, agritech, and government projects, and has designed everything from web apps and dashboards to mobile tools and embedded interfaces.

She works end-to-end — from understanding real workflows to shaping clear interaction patterns and building the prototypes and UI needed to make them real. She is very comfortable navigating complex environments, simplifying what needs to be simple, and designing for scale without losing sight of the people using the product.

Most of her work centres on close collaboration with cross-functional teams, translating constraints and requirements into interfaces that get the job done cleanly. She enjoys the mix of structure and improvisation it takes to move a product from problem to solution, and she brings both depth of experience and an pragmatic approach to every project.

Projects & Employments

Current & previous projects

UX design, Branding design, Marketing at Optisense Care, Helsingborg

OptiSense Care created Zenseat, a smart toilet seat developed in collaboration with an elderly care nurse to help prevent constipation in dementia patients. The product collects data on bowel movements, allowing healthcare staff to intervene early and reduce discomfort and complications. My work covered the full design foundation: creating the brand identity for both company and product, designing the website and marketing materials, and developing the mobile app used by care workers to monitor patients. The focus was on clarity, dignity, and ease of use — ensuring that important information was accessible at a glance and that the technology felt supportive rather than intrusive.

UX Designer at Caleidoscope Systems AB, Helsingborg

Caleidoscope builds lighting systems for large-scale retail environments, and they needed a dashboard that would give supermarket and store owners a clear view of their energy use and savings. My role was to determine which data actually mattered to users and how to present it in a way that supported quick, confident decision-making. I worked through the problem from the ground up: identifying key metrics, structuring the information hierarchy, and designing visualisations that made patterns and opportunities easy to spot. The result was a focused, readable dashboard that turned complex energy data into insights store managers could act on immediately.

UX Designer at Dirma, Helsingborg

Dirma is a platform that helps sports associations raise funds through direct marketing. They needed a clearer, more intuitive experience that would support users with very different levels of digital familiarity. I led the redesign from insight to execution: conducting user interviews, shaping the core flows through wireframes and prototypes, and refining the visual design. I also created supporting marketing materials to strengthen the platform’s overall presentation. The result was a smoother, more accessible experience that made it easier for associations to run their campaigns and stay engaged.

UX Designer at LegalBuddy, Helsingborg

LegalBuddy offers expert-backed contracting and legal consulting online, and they needed a clearer, more modern way to present both their services and their product. My work involved redesigning the public website to create a more cohesive visual identity and a stronger, more trustworthy first impression. I also led the redesign of their platform, shifting it from a system-first layout to a genuinely user-first experience. The goal was to make legal tasks feel approachable without sacrificing professionalism. The result was a cleaner, more intuitive interface that communicates expertise while staying friendly, consistent, and easy to navigate.

UX researcher at Smart Agritech, Helsingborg

Smart Agritech developed PigXcel, a camera-based system that automatically weighs pigs, reducing labour for farmers and minimising stress for the animals. Despite the innovation, adoption in the field was low. I worked as part of a research team conducting in-depth interviews with pig farmers to understand their daily routines, constraints, and expectations. From these insights, we mapped key workflow gaps and recommended concrete improvements to bring the product closer to real on-farm needs. Several of these suggestions have already been integrated into the system, helping strengthen its fit, usability, and likelihood of broader adoption.

UX designer at Wineally, Helsingborg

Wineally built an app to help small restaurants and consumers pair wine with food, but they needed stronger design structure and clearer UX to support growth. My role was to bring design thinking into the development workflow. I created a design system to give the product visual and functional consistency, and set up practical processes for discovery, review, feature design, and implementation. I also conducted a UX review and redesigned key parts of the app to make the pairing experience more intuitive for both restaurant staff and end users.

UX designer at Wellbefy, Helsingborg

Wellbefy helps companies monitor and improve employee health with a strong focus on prevention. They needed a clearer, more purposeful dashboard that would serve both administrators and individual employees. I identified the key goals for each user group and translated those needs into relevant, actionable elements on the dashboard. The design aimed to reduce noise, highlight what matters, and present health insights in a clear, visually appealing way that supports quick understanding and long-term engagement.

Technologies: UX research, Protopersona creation, Wireframing, Visual Design

UX Designer at Huawei Technologies Sweden AB, Lund

Huawei’s embedded technology team needed a better way for chip designers to write specifications in a consistent, efficient format. The existing tools were fragmented, error-prone, and slowed down both design and review processes. I researched how designers were currently creating specs, mapped the pain points, and identified where standardisation would actually save time. Working closely with stakeholders, I designed an interface that let engineers specify configurations in a clear, simplified environment with fewer errors and far less manual effort. The result supported both accuracy and speed, making specification work more reliable and significantly easier to complete.
