Petur Hjartarson

Pétur has a huge interest in technology and has been interested in both gadgets and tech his whole life. He graduated from LTH with a MSc in Engineering were he specialized in Communication Systems in the Winter of 2013.  An ideal workplace for Pétur would be an innovative company where he is surrounded by skilled and involved people. He loves to build responisve webapps that works on all platforms using top-of-the-line technology. He is straight-forward in his way of work, social and enjoys to interact with others, he is a team player and loves to learn new technology. He has always been appricated in his employments and people remembers him as a entusiatic co-worker.

Field experience

Worked as a web app developer for three years using the latest web development. Focus has been on AngularJS and Node together with Less or Sass for CSS development, but has a lot of knowledge of other JavaScript frameworks such as React and Mithril. Experience from different CMS systems, such as Drupal and Sitecore. He has worked both stand-alone and in larger teams in development and has knowledge of different types of agile development methods.

Project description Worked as a web developer for Danske Spil A/S where we developed the number games, e.g. Keno, Lotto and Eurojackpot.
Technology We used the CMS Sitecore and the JavaScript framework Mithril and Less for CSS development.

Project description Worked with a IoT solution that would utilize a cloud solution that was connected to the IoT device. Handled the webapp and the cloud backend.
Technology We used AngularJS and belonging techonlogies for the webapp with a NodeJS backend. The NodeJS backend was driven with MongoDB and MQTT for communication with the IoT device.

Project description Worked as a fullstack web developer at Berlingske Media IT-department with a new product that should remove the need for basic webdevelopers to change simple markup and put the responsibility on the publishers. This was done using a webapp so the publisher get a visual representation of how the news site looks.
Technology We used JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3. As well as AngularJS to build up a good MVC structure for the web app. A lot of my focus was on the middleware, which was built using NodeJS.

Project description Worked as a Master Thesis student at Verisure Innovation AB. Our mission was analyze if Verisures current wireless sensor network could send medical data from small health devices and log different kind of data in a database. The project was successfull and we also proposed a new wireless sensor network technology which they also implemented.
Technology C/C++ for embedded systems, as well as IAR embedded workbench to flash our CC1110 that was an Intel 8051 chip. Our front end solution was based on a Java client.

Worked as a web developer and created advanced responsive webapps. Techniques and tools like HTML5, JavaScript, Grunt, NodeJS and Angular MVC framework was used. During the project we cooperated with an of shore back-end team that created the REST API, they were located in Slovakia.
